Why choice lithium ion battery? We all know that the best use of most lithium batteries is in a dry and cool environment, which can greatly improve the life of the battery. Depending on the ambient temperature, the frequency of use, and the charge and discharge rate of the battery used, the lifespan varies. The lifespan is approximately three years (36 months). On average, conventional lithium-ion batteries have around 1,000 reliable and trouble-free uses, regardless of the warranty period. Fore more details, please check our article how do lithium ion battery work. This process creates an electrical current that powers the electronic devices. When plugging in the device, the opposite happens: Lithium ions are released by the cathode and received by the anode. While the battery is discharging and providing an electric current, the anode releases lithium ions to the cathode, generating a flow of electrons from one side to the other. 48V 60Ah Ternary Lithium ion Battery How does lithium ion battery work? We’ve got you covered no matter what size or style of battery you need for campers, forklifts, or solar-panel systems. If you want to go camping and need a 12-volt lithium RV battery, BigBattery has everything you need. Additionally, 24V batteries require less maintenance than 12V batteries due to their longevity. These batteries are ideal when storing large quantities of energy, like what goes into a solar-powered system. Benefits of a 24V BatteryĪ distinct advantage of 24V lithium batteries is saving money and effort on additional wiring and connectivity to get the same amount of power from multiple 12V batteries. In particular, this voltage is safer when operating on DC circuitry. For instance, many cars, RVs, and appliances work safely and more efficiently on 12V power. Many people assume the 24v battery is stronger overall, but 12V batteries have distinct advantages you don’t get from a higher voltage. When looking at the difference between 24V and 12V lithium batteries, it’s a good idea to understand their benefits. For example, a 12V 200 Ah battery will put out 2400 watts in an hour, whereas a 24V 200 Ah battery will put out 4800 watts in an hour. So, a battery with 200 Ah will put out a different amount of power in wattage depending on its voltage. The battery may list the “Ah” rating, or ampere per hour. Regardless of the number, the voltage on your battery pack refers to the maximum voltage and power in the pack. The difference between 24V and 12V lithium batteries is not readily apparent, but BigBattery is here to sort things out for you. You may notice similar battery options with different voltages. Figuring out which battery pack best serves your needs can be challenging. ![]()

![]() ![]() Navia's 2005 book Diogenes the Cynic says that some have argued that Diogenes actually may not have arrived in Athens until after Plato passed away (Sinope being a Greek colony located on the modern Turkish coast, and the date of Diogenes' exile from Sinope being a source of conjecture). ![]() However, Plato doesn't mention him at all (despite, of course, being at the center of the anecdote here) and Aristotle seemingly mentions him once in an off-handed way. Of the philosophers alive during the same time as Diogenes whose voluminous writings survive, we might expect them to discuss Diogenes if he really was a consistent thorn in their side making them look pretentious. So we should be…cynical (in the modern sense) whether Diogenes said anything he was credited with, for exactly the same reasons we should be cynical about Pythagoras coming up with the framework of personality in Plato’s Republic (which Laertius credits Pythagoras with, somewhat comically). Just as the Pythagoreans claimed several philosophical ideas and mathematical findings to Pythagoras, it's likely that there were plenty of funny ripostes to pretentious philosophers that got put into the mouth of Diogenes, because he was seen as the paragon of the philosophy of Cynicism (a popular philosophical position in the Hellenistic era, which isn’t just about being ‘cynical’ in the modern sense). It is likely that he had access to more than one collection of Diogenes' sayings, but it's unlikely Laertius had access to anything actually written by Diogenes (though Laertius does directly quote some of what he claims to be Diogenes' poetry, which he's likely found quoted in other sources). ![]() As I say in the above answer, Laertius has a reputation for being a bit credulous, and not particularly philosophically switched on. For better or worse, while Laertius mentions some sources here and there for his anecdotes about Diogenes, this particular anecdote is unsourced (but may well be from a previous now-lost book by Diodes that some have argued provides the main framework for The Eminent Lives of the Philosophers). Laertius - writing several hundred years after Diogenes of Sinope lived - necessarily drew on what previous writers had said about Diogenes of Sinope. Diogenes plucked a fowl and brought it into the lecture-room with the words, "Here is Plato's man." In consequence of which there was added to the definition, "having broad nails." To one who asked what was the proper time for lunch, he said, "If a rich man, when you will if a poor man, when you can." Plato had defined Man as an animal, biped and featherless, and was applauded. This particular anecdote about Diogenes of Sinope does indeed come from Diogenes Laertius' writing about his namesake that I discuss in the comment kindly linked to by /u/Holy_Shit_HeckHounds. They definitely blow away those other socks in every category. Can it possibly be worth that much more money? This is a tough question. Coming from socks that cost ~$7 for 6 pairs, I had a lot of sticker shock when I learned that these socks are about 24x more expensive per pair. If they are so comfortable and amazing, why isn’t everyone wearing FIGS compression socks to work? Well, they are pretty expensive. Only time will tell how these hold up over the long run but I am optimistic based on what I’ve read online and heard from some co-workers who swear by FIGS socks. I do notice some discoloration on the sole of the sock, but I attribute this to my footwear of choice at work, the Dansko Professional Clog, which is made of a dark leather and has caused discoloration in any light colored sock that I’ve worn before. So far, I don’t notice any breakdown or wear in the heels. In a review listed on their own website, a customer states that she buys these FIGS specifically because other brands suffer this same fate of holes in the heel. My normal off-brand socks typically develop holes in the heel before anywhere else, so I’m acutely aware of this in any sock I wear. So if you too suffer from sweaty feet during your shifts, you will likely benefit from these socks.Īs I mentioned above, I have only wore these socks for 4-5 shifts so far. The FIGS seemed to all but solve that problem, most likely due to the thinner Nylon/Lycra composition. I typically sweat a good amount during a shift, and my usually cotton socks can become uncomfortable as a result. As for the moisture wicking benefit that FIGS advertises, I was equally impressed. I have worn them for 4-5 shifts so far and the fit hasn’t changed as of yet. They felt tight enough that it wasn’t uncomfortable but also enough so that I didn’t think they would roll down as my shift went on and my movement increased. The compression felt even from my toes all the way to the top of the sock. By design, the socks extend all the way up the calf and end just before the knee. To my pleasant surprise, they fit perfectly. AS you probably know, sock sizes can vary wildly between manufacturers, so I held my breath while putting them on. I took measurements and ended up in the Medium range. Rather than just giving shoes sizes for each sock size, FIGS gives you 2 measurements, ankle and calf. Comfort & FitįIGS offers 3 sizes (S, M, L) and includes a detailed sizing chart on their website. Definitely an upgrade over my aging black cotton socks. They are a very nice bright white color, and the 75% Nylon, 25% Lyrca feels nice and smooth. Upon receiving them, I was immediately impressed by the high quality feel of the sock. I had always wanted to try out compression socks to see if they really make a difference and this seemed like a good opportunity. But I was buying a FIGS mask (see my review here) and I came across this pair of socks. I had never tried compression socks and didn’t really have a reason to either. I didn’t necessarily need them, as I have roughly 30 pairs of socks in my drawer at this moment. Why did I buy these relatively expensive socks then? Well, it was a impulse buy. I typically wear cheap off-brand socks from Walmart that I can buy in bulk and for pretty cheap. ![]() I received my FIGS “100% Awesome Compression Socks” a couple weeks ago in the mail and was excited to try them out. ![]() ![]() ![]() Ignorance - of how most people will have to actually view these videos?Īrrogance - is Machole condescension at work?
